Architecture & Design

V House is defined by Scandinavian modern architecture combined with a contemporary mountain aesthetic. The design is composed of two distinct volumes: a double-height public living zone and a more private residential wing, connected through both interior circulation and outdoor terraces.

Large glazing panels create uninterrupted visual connections to the surrounding landscape, while the indoor–outdoor fireplace, terraces, and covered seating areas extend the living experience beyond the interior. Architectural elements such as secluded bedroom terraces and layered outdoor spaces enhance privacy, flexibility, and seasonal use.

Materials

V House utilizes a refined palette of modern, durable materials that complement its natural surroundings. The exterior features a black standing-seam metal roof, expansive aluminum-framed glass panels, and thermally treated wood surfaces that add warmth and texture to the architectural composition.

Outdoor decks and terraces are constructed using thermally treated wood, reinforcing the connection between the built form and the landscape. Inside, the material language continues with clean finishes and natural textures, creating a cohesive and timeless modern home in the Catskills.
