Architecture & Design

Rooted in Scandinavian modern and contemporary styles, the architecture of P House is defined by clean lines and high-quality materials.

Striking Exterior: The main volume features classic brick siding, contrasted by a kitchen/terrace volume clad in thermally treated, dark-tone burnt wood with matching horizontal shutters.

Modern Elements: The design incorporates a pitched roof with dark grey standing seam metal, aluminum-profile tempered glass windows, and a unique glass block entry corner.

Natural Integration: Large glazing panels and sliding glass walls are used throughout to maximize light and provide a fluid transition between the interior and exterior environments

Materials

P House features a refined palette of natural and durable materials that define its contemporary mountain character. The exterior combines brick siding, thermally treated (burnt) wood cladding, and dark standing-seam metal roofing, creating a bold yet balanced architectural composition. Large aluminum-framed glass panels and sliding doors maximize natural light while strengthening the connection to the surrounding landscape.

Inside, the material language continues with warm wood textures, clean modern finishes, and high-quality surfaces designed for both comfort and longevity. The combination of natural materials and minimalist detailing enhances the home’s Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic while ensuring durability and low maintenance.

Frequently asked questions

Here are some common questions about L House.

The exterior features a curated blend of industrial and organic textures. We utilized black standing seam metal for the pitched roof and aluminum-profiled tempered glass for a sleek, modern look, balanced by the natural warmth of thermally treated wood panels and fiber cement.

The architecture uses volume to define the home's "social" and "private" zones. The social wing (kitchen and living area) features grand 19'-7" ceilings to create an airy, communal atmosphere, while the bedroom wing transitions to a more intimate 14'-7" height for a sense of tranquility.

The home is built using a pressure-treated lumber structure, selected for its durability and structural integrity, ensuring the residence remains a long-term investment.

The architectural design naturally supports energy efficiency through the use of high-quality tempered glass for thermal regulation and expansive natural lighting to reduce electrical dependency during the day.
