Architecture & Design

Drawing heavy design inspiration from modern barnhouses and reuse architecture, the home exhibits a distinct and striking contemporary style. The architectural concept brilliantly organizes private and social areas into separate, contrasting volumes, which are seamlessly united by a central glazed passageway.

A core architectural highlight is the double-height open layout living room, which boasts a cozy fireplace and soaring ceilings that reach 28 feet and 7 inches. The design prioritizes expansive circulation areas and flexible spaces, ensuring the home easily adapts to both working and leisure needs.

Materials

The exterior facade is a masterclass in texture and contrast, utilizing thermally treated dark wood panels, burnt wood slats, and whitewashed brick veneer. The pitched roof and the walls of the connecting passage are clad in durable, dark grey standing seam metal roofing sheets.

To flood the interiors with natural light and blend indoor and outdoor spaces, the design incorporates large aluminum profile tempered glass windows and sliding glass walls. The outdoor terraces are equally well-crafted, featuring thermally treated wood panels built upon a pressure-treated lumber structure.
